Prescription and Pharmacy Disclosures

Clinical independence

Only an authorized clinician may decide whether a prescription is clinically and legally appropriate and may select the medication, formulation, dose, quantity, refills, monitoring, and pharmacy instructions. Administrative staff, payment status, profit, medication margin, prescription volume, pharmacy preference, or referral arrangements do not control that decision.

No guarantee

An inquiry, intake, visit, laboratory payment, subscription, prior prescription, or patient request does not guarantee a new prescription or refill. The Provider may require records, testing, an in-person examination, monitoring, consultation, a different treatment, or referral.

RCC and the dispensing pharmacy

RCC is a health-care practice, not a pharmacy, and does not itself compound, dispense, or ship medication. A licensed pharmacy controls preparation, dispensing, labeling, beyond-use dating, packaging, shipping, and pharmacy counseling. RCC may transmit a valid prescription and coordinate status, but cannot guarantee pharmacy inventory, acceptance, pricing, carrier performance, or delivery date.

Patient pharmacy choice

Patients may ask to use another appropriately licensed pharmacy. Choice may be limited by applicable law, controlled-substance rules, product availability, the pharmacy’s willingness and capability, or the Provider’s documented clinical or quality concern. RCC will disclose any known financial relationship that could materially affect pharmacy selection.

Patient responsibilities

• Use medication only as directed and do not share it.
• Read pharmacy materials and promptly report errors, damaged packaging, temperature concerns, suspected contamination, unexpected effects, or missing medication.
• Maintain required monitoring and follow-up and provide an accurate medication list.
• Contact the dispensing pharmacy for dispensing, storage, shipping, or product-specific questions; contact RCC for clinical questions.

Controlled substances

Controlled substances are subject to identity verification, clinical monitoring, database review where required, refill limits, federal and Florida law, and the Provider’s judgment. Early replacement, transfer, or telehealth prescribing may not be permitted.
